This week sees the 4th Buckingham Classic Car Show take place at The Richard Roper Playing Field Lenborough Road Gawcott, MK18 4JG on Saturday 29th June from 12.00 to 17.00. The event is run by the Rotary Club and is a fund raiser for a number of good causes. We'll be there with a couple of our cars too.

The Event. This is a social gathering for older vehicles; younger interesting vehicles and Petrol Heads.
The location is The Richard Roper Playing Field Lenborough Road Gawcott, MK18 4JG; map ref, sheets 152 or 165, 685316. The field will be open from 12.00 for the arrival and parking of your vehicles. Refreshments and food will be available to purchase. Rally Plaques will be presented to those who enter before 11th June. If you want to park with your friends, please note on your entry form; we will do our best to accommodate you.
Ticket Application. While this event is primarily for vehicles over 20 years old, we will be pleased to see your more interesting younger vehicles, cars and motor bikes, scooters, tractors etc.. In fact anything that moves.
Please Make your ticket application using the attached form and forward it with an SAE and your donation cheques (made payable to Rotary Club of Buckingham Trust Account).
Substitute vehicles. If you have to use a substitute vehicle please advise the Event Secretary at least 5 days before the event.
Charity.
You will be taking part in Buckingham Rotary Clubs fourth Classic Car meet, raising funds for local and international charitable work.
Local charities include.
Buckingham & Winslow Young Carers – Many children and young people are providing daily care for chronically sick or disable parents and siblings. The Youth Club run entirely by volunteers, offers children and young people aged from 7 to 18 years a facility where for a few hours they are able to forget the everyday personal caring responsibilities they have for one or more family members.
Citizens’ Advice Bureau - our local award-winning CAB is a group of mainly volunteers providing advice and assistance to those most needing it.
International Charities include.
Mary’s Meals; A UK based charity, providing over 1.3 MILLION meals each day to children attending school in 12 countries in Africa, Asia Latin America. Using local resources and volunteer staff and encouraging school attendance it helps provide the first step for these children out of continuing poverty and deprivation. www.marysmeals.org.uk
