Time for Some New Seats

As you'll have seen from my previous blog we've recently acquired a Triumph Spitfire which we're currently improving in readiness for hire later in the year. Whilst she is strong mechanically and presents very well it's probably fair to say that the interior needs a little work.

First up are the seats, which are a little too soft! Coloured dust on the carpets indicated that the 40 year old foam inside the seats was calling it a day! So as you can see from the picture, the seats have been stripped ready for new foam. Of course getting replacement parts for old cars can be something of a challenge, but I've been fortunate to find a company that makes new replacements. These have now been received and look to be excellent quality, so I thought I better share the details here in case anyone else also needed replacements. So the company is Park Lane Classics and you can access their website here

Each foam is made to order, so there's a few weeks for delivery, but they are well worth the wait.
